Support Acts: Belqis Genre: Indie/PopRoni Dot’s music combines pensive lyrics with pop melodies. Old-school inspirations are melded into new creation, creating her own unique bittersweet style. Her upcoming single “LOVE you HATE you” will be premiered on the Dutch Maxazine website 3/6/22. Roni Dot will be participating in the 2023 editions of Rosa Laub festival, Altonale festival and Bunte Welt (DE). Her past performances include LIVE AT HEART 2019 showcase (Sweden), VEGAN FEST 2019, Tabula Rasa festival (Tel Aviv) and more. During the Corona crisis Dot initiated and produced a unique project featuring 33 vegan musicians from all around the world singing a cover version of Bob Dylan’s „Times they are a changin‘ „. The project was meant to raise attention to climate change and the human contribution to it, a topic Dot cares deeply about. BELQIS [bell-kies]. Schon der Name der jungen Singer-Songwriterin lässt genügend Raum für Inspiration, und genau diese findet sich auch in BELQIS’ Songs wieder. Feinfühlige und kluge Texte auf Englisch und auf Deutsch, die den Puls der Zeit in sich tragen, treffen dabei auf eingängige Indiepop-Melodien. Im Frühjahr 2022 ist mit „Status Quo“ BELQIS’ erste deutsche Single erschienen, in der die ehrliche Auseinandersetzung mit Selbstzweifeln und Überforderung auf ihre unverwechselbar klare Stimme trifft. Damit hat sie selbst den berühmten Singer-Songwriter Kollegen Olli Schulz überzeugt, der „Status Quo“ im Kult-Podcast Fest & Flauschig vorstellte (Folge 30.4.22). Auch live kreiert die Frankfurterin mit Akustik- und E-Gitarre sowie ihrem Effektpedal den eigenen Sound immer neu und fasziniert mit klarer Stimme und einnehmender Bühnenpräsenz.
